A Creative and Encouraging Afternoon: Recap of February’s Card Class

Every month, I have the joy of hosting a card-making class in my home, and this month’s theme was Encouragement—a perfect way to spread kindness through handmade creations!

Two Sundays ago, eight wonderful ladies joined me from 1 PM to 4 PM to craft six beautiful encouragement cards—two of each of the three unique designs I had prepared. One of the highlights of the afternoon was hearing how much everyone loved the colors chosen for the cards. Seeing their excitement as they assembled their creations made all the prep work worth it! There’s something so special about combining colors, textures, and sentiments to create a handmade card that can brighten someone’s day.

As we stamped, layered, and embellished, the conversation and laughter flowed effortlessly. It was more than just a crafting session—it was a time of connection, creativity, and encouragement, exactly what handmade cards are meant to represent.

To make the afternoon even sweeter, one of the ladies brought a home-baked lemon cake—and let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious! She made sure everyone had a piece, and it was the perfect treat to enjoy while crafting.

Here are pictures of the ladies stamping away and a group picture of everyone holding up a creation!

I’m already looking forward to next month’s class! If you’d like to join in on the fun, stay tuned for details on the upcoming theme. There’s nothing quite like the joy of making and sharing something from the heart.

Until next time, happy crafting!
